The lawyer-friendly warning on the left of the frame in front of the trigger guard stands out like a turd in a punchbowl...

It ruins an otherwise beautiful pistol.

Thanks for the photos!! I really like the Gen 4 Glock 26 and the S&W 1911 with a Bob Tail.

I think Smith makes some of the nicest looking production 1911s out there...in my opinion.

Maybe, it's pretty darn cold here in Iowa so anything is possible. IF the gun gets favorable reports I'd be willing to give it a whirl, but looking at the lack luster response of both Wilson's and Kimber's previous ventures into non 1911s, I'm kind of hesitant to dive into this one. Kimber may just have hit a home run with this little gun but Colt may also be reviving the Pony.

Guess which way my cash would go.

What was (were) Kimber's previous foray(s) into the non-1911 pistol market?

JD..... Where did you hear that? Man, I'd love to see Colt come back. If they bring the Pony back, maybe the Pocket Nine would be back too.......Well I can dream anyway........

From one of the Colt guys at SHOT show. We talked for a while regarding the Mustang revival and some changed to the 1911 line up. Now you've got me wondering if I heard him say Pony or Pocket 9, I'm fairly certain he said Pony, but it might have actually been the Pocket 9 he was talking about....All this is rumor by the way regarding revived models.

What I did learn about the 1911 line is that Rail Guns have national match barrels and that the RGs, XSEs, and Combat & Delta Elite will all be getting true Novak rear sights and in-house beavertails, a great step up in my opinion.

I would not put much of any hope in Colt doing anything. When it comes to handguns, they are a mere shadow of the company that they once were. They used to make innovative products, and made a number of great revolvers.

Their current handgun product line is very limited.

The Kimber KPD was their answer to the Glock. They were hoping to break into the law enforcement market with it.

But it flopped very badly in the marketplace.

Here is what it looked like:
