Converted an Anti
Took a friend and his G/F to the range today,she was scared of guns since her sister was killed by her ex,and another ND that killed a relative.I took her thru safe gun handling,then taught her how each firearms safeties worked and the function.She noticeably flinched each time I shot my S&W 22a,then I told her okay your turn,the first couple shots were a little nervous,but then she became more comfortable and started putting hits on target.After a few hundred rounds of 22 we switched to an XD 9,the first few shots were scattered,but then she settled down and started decimating the COM of the target.She will be taking a CHL class on the 23rd

Was she 'anti'......or just very scared of the 'unknown' that 'caused' so much trauma and grief in her past?

To tell the truth,I enjoy teaching people to safely handle firearms and shoot more than pulling the trigger myself sometimes.

I've never seen any gun do anything by itself. I hope she sticks with it, and realizes .... it wasn't the gun's fault in the past.

My girlfriend is PRO gun but has never shot before. I'm changing that tomorrow. She asked me to take her to the range!! Tomorrow will be a great day!
