I bought a conversion kit for my Sig P228 over the holidays while they had them on sale. I tried it out this weekend with Winchester white box ammo. At least 2 failures to feed per 10 round mag. The rounds were jamming longways.
Does anyone have any experience with the conversion kit? Is there a brand/model of ammo more likely to perform well?
Also, the weapon and kit were properly cleaned and lubed prior to use. All parts on the kit looked good.

Well I don't have a lot of time on a .22 pistol. However, I do on rifles and I can tell you that HV (High Velocity) ammo works best in autos. Both with pistols and rifles. The linchpin in your case maybe the mag. Is it stiff to load and is getting that 10'th round in hard?? For the most part bulk ammo will jam here and there in till you find the magic brand your gun likes. To find out if the gun is at fault run some CCI mini mags. There the gold standard for the most part from what I've been told.
