My only experience with Dan Wesson revolvers is with the ones with interchangeable barrels. It belonged to a buddy and it had the best trigger I have ever shot.

I bought one brand new in 1982 w/ 4" bbl for about $200 as I recall. It came wth a special wrench and feeler gage for changling barrels. It had an excellent trigger out of the box. I foolishly traded it prior to going overseas. Good luck!

The DW during the monson mass years can be the best. DW made a number of models and a try to cover the basics. If the barrel come off with a recessed nut is the favored model . If a surface nut or recessed with what is called a opck chop barrel shroud there are not any amount of replacements or changes out there. The 15-2 still has the aftermarket supplies of parts still for CZ and from EWKarms. grips from Hogue and L B Custom grips . You buy a 2 1'2" revolver and in 2 minutes you can change to a 4,6,8,10 up to 15" barrel. Grips can be of any size do to the post it mounts on. Larger to small or totally custom. I have 4 of them.

Try to take a bit of time and look up each basic model to find the difference. IF what the guy has is a 2.1/2" 15-2 you have one that has a wide amount of upgrades and options. One that
