Yep, it was fine. You pay for the gun, then go pick it up at your local shop.
One thing you might find is that at times your price could be better if you just go check it out at the shop. You can do some homework on galler of guns first to know that the price should be via internet, then visit them shoot the bull and get to know them a bit. If they have it in the store for the same price they would appreciate you turning their inventory most likely.
One thing that you can not gaurantee is that the gun coming from Davidsons is going to be exactly like the one pictured. When I ordered my 24/7 Pro, I was expecting one that had the ribber grip, but the one that I got didnt' have it. I was actually glad that it didn't. Just something to keep in mind. If you go to the shop and handle the gun you will know exactly what your getting, especially if they are in the process of making minor changes to certain models.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

Never used their setup to actually purchase a gun, but I have used their site to do a lot of price comparison. Find the gun you want, do the best price search, and print out that page. Go to your dealer, and without showing him your Davidson's info, ask what the pricing of the gun will be. If his is better, go with it. If not, ask if he can match Davidson's. I have found most in my area to be right at or slightly better than Davidson's.
I bought my GP100 3" through them some years ago, shipped to a local shop. No problems.

Thanks for the feedback, I've noticed somethings I've looked at are cheaper than I can buy locally, some aren't (any Glock I can get cheaper LGS).

Between family members and myself there have been 4-5 purchases. All of which were extremely smooth. Cant beat that lifetime guarantee. Their prices are usually good from the comparison shopping Ive done recently.
I've bought a pistol & a rifle from them both transactions were very smooth.
I've ordered 3 guns through them. No issues. They are great for getting special editions or unique guns your LGS may not stock.
Their prices seem high to me.
i recently purchased a browning maxus from them...i have sent the first two back for mechanical reasons....they third one they sent me was used....absolutely fuming....never again.
I've bought two guns from them. Both were guns I could not find in stock locally. I generally find their prices competitive with the better local shops.

Did you ever watch the TV show they produce? Neat guns, but the hosts are the worst public speakers. The scripted questions crack me up too.
