    I didn't see that....they finally did it?

This is something that the 1911 community has been trying to find a solution to for a while now.

My opinion on the PPQ is... Looks like a H&K P30 frame ripoff. Appears to have the same action as the P99 adding a two price trigger. If list price is $550 to $725 it may take away sales from HK. The icing on the cake would be S&W making it's own version of it for 100's less. However, S&W will have more MIM parts and less refinement. All assessment is made by picture only.

I'd say that the lackluster showing might be a result of dollars pulled from R&D because of the slow economy, but I think guns, ammo, and video games have been the only winners in the past couple of years.

I think the new shotgun is cool too :p

The only thing that really impressed me was the DPx H.E.S.T. folder. But knife people have known about it for months.

Accuracy ALWAYS WINS! So carry what you can hit with.

If you find yourself in a fair fight your tactics stink.

I don't understand it. It looks like the exact same silhouette as a P99. The rear of the slide even looks the same but there's no hole for the striker indicator. It's on the side instead. And the Grip looks like flowers. Has anyone seen a price? I'm guessing these are going to be a cheap alternative to the P99. Like the SD9/40 is to the M&P.

Looks like the P22 is going to be getting this design.

I hope they come out with a 158 gr version then I'd buy it. Don't know why I just prefer the heavier bullets

    Found it!

Haven't found an official announcement. Just a peek at one during a presentation of other new products.

    Screenshot:

Looks like it will be part of their "Master 1911 Grips" collection, mating lasers with grips of other materials, including wood, micarta, and G10.
