I met then CBS reporter Mike Flannery outside the auditorium where the mayors' presentation was about to take place, and he suggested that I attend the meeting so that I could better answer any questions that he might have.
...one of the men gave me a couple of solid hits in my back and then pushed me hard on my shoulder, almost knocking me out of my chair.

Illinois, a dirty state from top to bottom. Chicago, a dirty city from top to bottom. Who'd of ever thought. Dah. Daley ranks with Bloomberg in terms of being anti-2A.

Heavy-handed tactics like that are not unexpected from the mayor’s office. I would be willing to bet daley’s successor has already been chosen and they are just waiting for the formality of an election before he takes office.

My wife is from Springfield, IL and she says nothing like this is even surprising out of Chicago politics. It is actually quite the norm.

I wouldn't throw out the rest of the state because of Chitcago.....Southern Illinois is a great place to live...although I will never go back until the politics and people who run the state change.
