nothing yet.... it wasn't packing residue or something like that right? if the finish is coming off it should be coming off in flakes if I am not mistaken.

Should be the same finish. Same materials used in all Gens.

Not sure about the finish "rubbing off". But, the finish on my Gen 4 G19 seems to match the finish on my old Gen 2 G17 - kind of dull & gritty. Both of my Gen 3's seem to have a darker & slicker finish.

    Have you contacted Glock?

Maybe someone else could also chime in?

well come to find out its not my finish, its the inside of the holster, i bought the holster from my brother who used to have a glock 19 im not sure if its the finish from his glock that had rubbed off inside the holster or not but i took an old cleaning rag and wiped the inside and it turned my white rag black, any suggestions on how to clean the inside of the holster without damaging the leather

Leave it alone. It's not going to hurt anything.

very true im not so much worried now that i know that its from the holster and not the gun itself.

Even then it's only cosmetic...the outside coat of a Glock is pakerized to make it look pretty, but the tenifer finish is actually a metal treatment and will never go away no matter the condition of the parkerization. Same goes for the melonite finish on a Springer XD. Tenifer and melonite and several other brands are just trade names for the same exact treatment for anyone interested.
