Glock trigger assy swap, bar tab is shaped different (pics)
I ordered 3 smooth triggers with trigger bar from Midway USA, (Glock # SP00357) to replace the serrated triggers in my 3rd gen 27 and 19 & 23 RTF2's.
No problem to swap out, but I did notice a slight difference how the tab where the spring hooks was shaped differently, (see photo's).

The trigger on the left came out of my 23 and the tab where the spring connects and is shaped like all 3 of the new triggers, (slight bend where the spring hole is).
The trigger on the right has a straight tab where the spring connects. This is how the factory trigger bars were shaped in the 19 & 27. I took the factory smooth trigger assy out of my 22 RTF2 and it has the straight bar also.
The replacement smooth triggers fit all 3 guns and function as they should.
Just curious if anyone else has noticed or experienced this?

Found the answer after I posted this yesterday. It seems that Glock made an inprovement where the spring hooks to the trigger bar.
My 23 is my newest Glock which is why it had the newer shaped bar.

Glock seems to make a lot of changes without notifying us. Some small, some big, and some for specific reasons. Glock on!

If the changes are improvements and aren't issues of a recall magnitude, I guess I can give Glock a pass on lack of notification. I would have been considerate though to include a note in the packaging regarding the design change.
As to the OPs change out--how do you like the smooth trigger compared to the old?
Chose a weapon that goes bang EVERY time!

Much easier on the trigger finger after sending 100-200 rounds down range.

I bet.
That ridged trigger (the Target Trigger I believe its called) is the biggest thing that kept me from liking the Glock 19 and sending me for the M&P that has a nice comfortable smooth trigger. If there was a trigger for the Glock that was completely smooth, without that trigger safety sticking out to jab my finger I might give it another try. That doesn't exist does it??

Not that I'm aware of. Even with the smooth trigger the safety is not completely flush and it sticks out just enough to feel it.

Just enough to jab into my finger and cause pain and steer me towards a different gun. I don't know why they can't have it go flush with the trigger.
