    Crime rate by neighborhood

Help folks! I don't know where I saw this but there was a website that broke down cities by the specific neighborhoods for crime. As I recall it would show that a specific area of a town/city would be more crime ridden than another. Has anybody seen this or know what the link to it would be. I can't for the life of me find it.
    Thanks for your help.

That or something like it was posted a while back. Some places are just not as bad as others; few are good.

That's pretty cool. I plugged in my street address although I just figured it was too small of a no-nothing town and sure enough, it listed a crime. I bookmarked' it for trivial interest so thanks!

If you live in a medium to large city go to the PD. Many have a crime analysis unit that tracks crime patterns. If not, your local officer should know the good and bad of the streets in your neighborhood. I'd trust local police information over an internet site. How accurate and who updates the crime reports on a site covering the world?

Check with your County, or like some have said, if you live in a real big city, they might have something like this,St. Clair County, MI | Crime Map

I ran my 'hood through spotcrime, and the results aren't even close to what I know to be the number of crimes in this area.

Checked for our area, but it shows about 1/10th the reported crime for our area.

That is an interesting site but not the one I was thinking about. With yours you have to enter an address. The one I saw you could enter a city name and it would divide the city into crime zones. I think it would rank them from worst to best if I recall correctly. That way say I am traveling and I want to stop over in Atlanta. This website would show me which areas are the worst so I can book a hotel in the least crime areas.
