Terry - I started my shooting career at Bisley when an army cadet in 1961 thru 1963 - ROTC deal.
I even in early 80's used to visit the place for ''Pistol 19xx'' - and a great time was had by all.
It is good to read an article on that but oh my - some of those comments. How ''head-in'sand'' can so many people be. Caught up I guess in gut-emotion and rhetoric - believing all the garbage that has been spewed over the years.
They obviously feel so ''safe''

I used to go there too. In fact, I was there at Bisley when the Hungerford Massacre happened (this really was the beginning of the end of sensible gun ownership in the U.K.). We were all expecting the newspapers to swarm us, but nothing.
It was a great time, spending a week shooting and camping out.
