Gun Owners Supporting One Another - Gun Owners Fellowship
Seems they have been around for several years but I've never heard of them before.
Membership is currently $97 lifetime for you and spouse.
If a member needs funds for a legal firearms defense, all other members are notified and 'asked' to contribute an equal percentage of the defense cost. If there are thousands of members, in the rare event of a 'claim,' each member's 'cost' is just a few bucks.
They don't say how many members they have. Seems like a good idea.
Anybody know about the organization before I send them my hard earned money?

You'd be far better served by investing $800+cost of ammo/travel/food into a Massad Ayoob MAG-40 class, or about $600+cost of ammo/travel/food to take John Farnam's classes - both of which will teach you about the law, use of force rules...and how to use force to deadly effect, then not getting into trouble because you:
a) Know when you should and should not act;
b) Know how to act correctly if it is time to act;
c) Are competent enough in your skills that it will be highly unlikely you will need to act.
Everyone wants a "Legal defense fund" or "Shooting insurance" deal...
You LIKE needing lawyers?
Do you like drama, stress, cops and correction officers that much?
Do people have such a need to be "the man", act, then go through a year of hell to be vindicated...but broke, then try to get reimbursement from the state or your insurance policy?
Yeah, it may be a great group, but their are better things to do with the cash.
