    Can anyone identify this gun?

    I was curious what this gun is. I haven't had any luck yet. It doesn't even seem to have a trigger?

    Looks like a Colt Paterson. The trigger drops down when the hammer is cocked.

    Looks like an 1836 Paterson. The folding trigger and shape of the hammer are pretty distinctive.

    It does appear to be a Colt Paterson. bmcgilvray, if he's around, can probably school us a bit on this old gun.
