    Old Colt .38 Police

Old Colt .38 Police excellent condition whats the value? Old wide double revolver holster western, lots of nice carvings in the belt with old .38's shells I think? unless I took them out. In storage I have no need as full time cruiser soon and will be headed south soon and can not weapons into Mexico and the other countries etc. I'm interested in a trade of equal value say a modern metal detector. The holster, is very nice as well. Both hardly used and are original. Do you know the value? Thanks for any help . . I'll get some photos upon request.

Welcome aboard from Jersey. Can't help you with the Colt's pricing.
But I have a well-used but high-end Minelab Explorer metal detector. I paid around 750$ for it 8 or 9 years ago.
Found lots of great stuff with it...paid for the machine several times over. (Metal Detecting is a great hobby btw.)
It's my spare now...but it works fine.
Shoot me a private message if you're interested in a trade.

police positive made 1905-1947 with roundish cylinder release in vg is ~$300
with flat release1896-1907 vg is $250

but values change by the demand in general and in the store by what they may already have or want in their case.
excellan ads 25% bbut it means in 98% condition. thats ver slight holster wear, no scratches and all original.
    good luck on the holster
