1911 help, a good shot Akron Ohio area

Hello everyone, I am seeking help from anyone that is a good shot with their 1911.

I think my sights are off but I would like to see my 1911 fired by someone with a good shot.

I live in the akron area and belong to the McKinley pistol and rifle club. This is where we will be shooting.

    Please help someone,
    Bomber

Bulldog there should be somebody at the range that can help you,Have you tried shooting from a hand rest on a table where you can get a proper grip and use the sandbag or other type of rest to keep your gun steady, then squeeze the trigger while concentrating on keeping your sights on the target,I'm no crack shot anymore ,but I shoot well enough to be able to tell if the sights need adjusted after a 5 shot pattern

I live near Warren. Would you fancy a road trip East?
It is surely true that you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink. Nor can you make them grateful for your efforts.

does your club do IDPA or bullseye shoots. either of those disciple's tend to bring out good shooters who are generally helpful

I'm up north of you by the lake, but I'm not a decorated shooter or a gunsmith by any measure. Much as I'd love an excuse to come shoot on someone else's dime, I doubt my opinion is one worth employing in this case. Been shooting a 1911 for 15 years now as my primary (and only) handgun until this year, but sorting out sights isn't something I've had to do. Good luck!

I have been asking around at the range also but figured using the interweb along with the club would find someone faster.

If you're on some of the 1911 Forums, or on the Ohioans for Concealed Carry Forum, look for a member named Quack.

He is imminently knowledgeable in all things 1911, and is a great guy to-boot. Definitely not a bad shot, either.

His collection of high-end 1911s will send most adults into seizures of envy.

I just got my c3 1911 back from Sig on Friday.

Results 200 shots fire @ 20', 230gr and I am very happy with Sig's customer service.

Clearly it was the front sight. It was off. Here is a photo that I sent to the gunsmith.
