Quick question, sling size for Ruger 10/22.

I'm in the process of obtaining a Ruger 10/22 in the "Sporter Deluxe" version that comes with sling swivels all ready installed. I have searched the internet multiple times trying to find the size of the swivels with no luck.

Does anyone happen to know the size they are off the top of their head?

My 1965-vintage 10/22 came with sling swivels that accommodate a 1" sling. My Sporter and 77/22 came with studs but no swivels, but both now wear QD swivels from Uncle Mike's that are the right size for 1" slings.

My 'built' 10/22 which I use for Appleseed events has the larger swivels (also Unlce Mike's QD) so I can use a GI web sling that's 1-1/4" wide.

I also have an early Ruger M77 that has the wide swivels. I put them on my Sporter and with the wide (military leather) sling they just looked out of place.

It's a pretty safe bet that you can get a 1" sling for your Sporter - it'll look fine and be functional.
