Sipped the Kool-Aid Today
I decided to go out for lunch today since there wasn't anything interesting at home. The place I went to is near a Gander Mtn, so I stopped there first to see if they had any 7.62x54R in stock. They didn't have any, but it was a slow day, so the guys behind the handgun counter were more than happy to pull some stuff out and shoot the breeze. In all, I fondled an FN Five-seveN, a Kimber Custom TLE/RL II, and a Glock 17. The FN was interesting, and the Kimber was awesome, but I absolutely loved the G17. It fit my hand perfectly and it pointed really well, it also had more weight than I was expecting from a polymer frame.
I think my safe is going to get a bit more crowded soon.

G17 is a classic. I think this will be a wonderful addition to your collection. Welcome to the club. ;-)

Can't go wrong with a Glock-17, or any other Glock, for that matter...hope it hops into the safe real soon.

"fits your hand perfectly?" Never thought I would ever hear anyone say that about a Glock! LOL
Yeah, I drank it too...makes you feel dirty huh? Fun shooting gun though, and I really like it. Mine is a Glock 32.

Yeah. I was surprised at how well it fit and how good it felt. Then again, I have pretty big hands.

Feeling odd in my hand isn't that big of a deal to me. Granted my Kimber feels like it was custom fitted to my paws. I guess the saying, "comforting not comfortable" applies to grip as well.

I have the same problem as the OP.
The Glocks just feel right in my big hands.
Even my G-21 has that just right feeling.
I carry a G-23 or a G-19 instead of the G-27 or G-26.
The grips on the "Baby Glocks" are to short for me and if I put a Pierce Grip Adapter on to lengthen the grip then I might as well carry the compact 19 and 23 which I do.
Give us a range report when you finally make the jump over to the "dark side".

Congratulations! You not only got a Glock, but you got the most famous and trustworthy of all the Glocks.
