I've see this (or some veration there of) in Natches' catalog. My only concern is setting something on fire. The only places I shoot is farm land and already to prone to fires anyway. I guess an abandon rock quary would be the ideal location. Pretty darn cool...

    Bada-big-boom!

I've been curious about those after seeing them in various magazines & sites.

About the same price, or a couple of bucks less. But they're pretty darn close in price. I've found the Sure Shot to be easier to mix in the field. Tannerite requires you to carry a mixing jar and a measuring spoon. Sure Shot is self contained and pre-measured.

That's a valid concern, however this stuff detonates. That means it burns fast enough to actually extinguish flames vs. starting them. However, it's prudent to be careful in super dry environments where there's plenty of dry grass, etc. lying around.

One time I was at a friends 5000 acre ranch and we had a diesel truck running next to the ranch house. We set that stuff (maybe tannerite) out about 200 feet and shot it with a high powered air rifle. I was caught off gaurd and hit the deck when he shot it. I got up and literally thought someone shut the truck off. After a few minutes I started to hear a little rumble and realized I just couldn't hear a darn thing. Ear protection RECOMMENDED!

FYI mix it in the jar not the bag... close the lid and shake like a paint can... and bang the sides... it will mix better then the bag...
