    Bought another C-96 Broomhandle Mauser

Actually it is the Bolo model chambered in 9MM. Went to the gun show in Fayetteville and found this at a fair price. All numbers match and the bore looked good but when I got it home and checked it with better lighting found the bore and rifling to be pristine. After a bit of searching on the Internet found out it was made in the Mauser Weapons Factory in Oberndorf on the river Neckar after 1912. It may be ugly and not really suitable for CCW but it is a piece of history and they fascinate me.

Congratulations on the find. They are fascinating, aren't they. I have a similar piece - M-96, 7.63mm - family heirloom.

I have always liked the Broomhandle; I think it is a very good looking firearm. And the one you got looks very nice! Congrats

Congrats on the great find! I'm guessing they are worth more than you paid.

My Brother in law had 2 of them. One Bolo in 9mm like yours and the other, (I forget the standard caliber). One of them had a wooden holster which converted into a shoulder stock, but I forget which one it went to.

He lost them both in a pawn shop when he couldn't pay the ticket. What an idiot. I would have paid the ticket on them if he would have told me about it. Pawn shop had them in a display case for over $2,000 each.
