A reminder that the controlled explosion of firing a weapon can sometimes get out of control. Looks like some serious injury potential. I had a light load once in a factory box of range ammo, but it cleared the barrel. I did stop and check it. It sounded and felt weird and got my attention.

    Yikes.

I wonder how many of these kabooms occur because of improper handloads/reloads though? Especially in rounds that are inherently higher pressure. And I'm definitely far from an expert, but I would think that shooting .44 mag out of an alloy/ultralight frame is just a bad idea.

I see that the muzzle brake did a good job of keeping the barrel together, and the Bi-Pod did its job wonderfully,I had a 12 gauge Remington 1100 that had a squib once,Had a gaggle of geese coning over when first shot sounded funny, but the geese were so close I coulda hit em wit the gun, next shot KABOOM,I saw the vent rib curl back at me,took it to a gun smith and ended up with a 24" barrel instead of 28,wad musta stuck in the last couple inches of barrel

Some scary pics in there for sure... gotta wonder what caused some. Must be some sort of firearm maintenance issues in there on a few

That's the one......the shooter should have noticed a difference in sound, feel, recoil, lack of visual sign of shot placement, etc. etc. Perhaps a beginner shooter? It does appear to be a .22

The shooter is fortunate to have had such a heavy barrel.
I noticed also that there were multiple photos of the same gun, just different views.

Excellent! Everyone should know their firearm(s) intimately. I shoot with the same hearing protection and eye protection. I can tell if a shot did not look, sound or feel right for a given handgun. I know a lot of folks will disagree with me but it may have saved my butt at least a couple of times.

Did you guys notice the Glock 19 here?

But wow... a lot of cool guns ruined. The majority of them are due to negligence or stupidity I'm sure.

The one that really got me was the 105mm.
Must have been a HUGE KA-BOOM with that one.

Did all these people excape injury? I'd imagine some of those really hurt.
