    Countdown To New Glock

    Everyone:

Counting down to the purchase of my new Glock. Either the Model 39 or the Model 30 depending how everything goes. I will report back once I have the gun.

Either will work, but I'd get the Glock-30...of your two choices.
The last Blood Moon Tetrad for this millennium starts in April 2014 and ends in September 2015...according to NASA.

Thanks, I have it narrowed down to one of those two. I really like the size of the Model 39 but the Model 30 is tops for capacity and ammo convenience. Gotta have a .45 though...I'm going to have to see what one I can get the best deal on.

A regular G30 or a G30SF? The 21SF did nothing for me. But I have small hands and have a little difficulty with the .45/10mm frame models.

    But it's a GLOCK. They're all gravy.

If I go for the 30, it will be the standard, non-sf. There have been too many FTRB issues going on with the sf. The gun will also be for CCW, so I don't want a 21.

Oh I wasn't suggesting it. I just meant that the SFs still aren't comparable to the 9/40 frame for me. I thought because you were considering a G39 that grip thickness was a possible factor for you. I'm sorry if I misunderstood.

No, you are absolutely correct, even though Glock makes the ACP sf .45's as well as the Model 36 slim frame, they are still considerably larger than the 39 in GAP. So, grip thickness is a factor, but overall size of the gun is more important to me but thanks for your input.

I'm betting the mdl 39 will be cheaper than the 30. Not a lot of demand for the GAP around here.

The issue isn't the price, it's finding a new 39. Seems most places are sold out. There is a used 39 that I'm considering not far away but I believe I can get a better deal on a new 30. I'll keep everyone posted.

Unless you plan on reloading or just have way too much money, I would avoid the .45 GAP.

    Got the 30!

Well, it's been a long time coming. Through a lot of research as well as life changes, I finally picked up a new Model 30 yesterday! I also got the Remigton Golden Saber +P 185gr ammo and a King Tuk holster too! I am very happy with the gun and appreciate all the input from the forum. I plan on going to the range early next month and will report back afterwards! Merry Christmas everyone😃
