    Help Identify Shotgun

I know just about zilch about shotguns, so bear with me.

I have a "chance" to buy and old 12 Gauge. It has about a 26" bbl.
The only writting I can find on it says....."Twist Belgium" on the left side, and "---Inchange--" on the left.
    (Maybe Interchangeable?)
On the barrel it says F DU--OULIN & Co.
On the bottom of the handgrip (or whatever its called where you curl your shooting fingers around) the is a SIX Pointed Star about 1.5 inches in diameter.

Come on, I just KNOW one (or more) of you guys will identify it!

    Thanks in advance,

    ~<:Ssssssssssssnake/""

It might be worth something as an antique, but I'd be highly cautious of the words "Twist Belgium" since that indicates an old Damascus-type barrel made from (twisted/welded wire) that could only handle mild black-powder shells.

All modern shotshells have a big warning on the box not to use them in guns with Damascus or twisted wire barrels (they can easily blow apart like a bomb with higher pressure smokless powder).

Sounds like a display piece-Depending on model and age, it might be worth some good money. The twist would really concern me about the safety of shooting the gun.

You were smart to pass on it unless you were looking for a decorative wall-hanger.

I've got an old exposed hammers dbl bbl that was given to me by some family. I wouldn't consider shooting it, but it sure is a nice decoration in my office.
Turn the election's in 2014 to a "2A Revolution". It will serve as a 1994 refresher not to "infringe" on our Second Amendment. We know who they are now.........SEND 'EM HOME. Our success in this will be proportional to how hard we work to make it happen.

Yeah...I told the seller to take it to an Cracker-Barrel or Applebees.

Maybe they would but it for the walls of the restaurant.
