If I actually had that gun, they wouldn't need to pay me any reward to get it,the most I would expect is that they just replace it with another glock 22.
I'd just donate the $5k to the local victim/witness fund. This story touched a nerve, I hope they're able to tie this all together and get justice for the victims.
I'm not certain why they even need the gun at this point. It seems the evidence, what was released at any rate, against the guy is solid. Glocks are built in such a way that they won't make a ballistics match anyways. That's the beauty of mass production with high standards.
"Glocks are built in such a way that they won't make a ballistics match anyways."
Possibly not but, if they have the ejected cartridge cases they can forensically match the firing pin strike indent to the primer/primers...as well as the extractor hook & breech face markings left on the cases which are always microscopically unique to every individual firearm.
If this post is legit--- that is, if OSBI is actually looking for that gun, it might be helpful if the admins could place that
in a prominent and semi-permanent spot so that law enforcement gets the most help possible instead of it sliding down the board to oblivion.
I am however wondering why the OP is using a Puget Sound location instead of an OK location. I'm sort of sure the OSBI
would be quite capable of coming here themselves to ask for public help if it wanted that.
I live in Edmonds, WA: I saw the story and affected me, so I posted it here and on GT, Sig Forum, THR, SeattleGuns.Net, NE Shooters forum, XDTalk, the S&W forum, 1911 addicts and AR15.com because not all cops are gun enthusiasts. Since I know a way to reach the eyes of a bunch of shooters, I'm trying to help the only way I can.
They want it , so they can prove without any question the casings, firing pin dents, etc. all came from that gun. Then there is absolutely no doubt. They want to nail the coffin shut.
It was suspected he attempted to sell it at a Tulsa Gun Show (Wannamaker) .... and everyone from numerous states go there, so the gun could have ended up about anywhere or any state. So, the more we pass the word to everyone, the more chance of someone finding it.
I've given the info to everyone that I know of that owns a Glock.
I would say that the $5,000 reward is to entice someone who has this handgun to surrender it. That's better than the $5-$600 price tag for a new one.
Yes they want it so that this case can be air tight and having the "smoking gun" is even better. I'm sure the guy is guilty.
Unless the person who is now in posession of said handgun might be friendly with the killer, that would be the only way this handgun will not surface. If I had it, I sure would not want a firearm used in the commission of a murder.
The scumbag who murdered those little girls fessed up to his crime: Of course he can always withdraw his confession. That gun was formerly owned by the Baltimore, MD PD. They still had the fired cartridge case on file. Cartridge cases from the property of the perps father matched the one on file in MD.
The state of OK also has the goods the perp for the murder of his girl friend. This meth head is getting the needle.
Let's hope so. I wondered about Daddy or the river for the gun.
I would be more than willing to buy a rope for Okla, if they would find a tree and use it. I'[ld even kick the chair out or swat the rear of the mule, if they needed it.
This was terrible, that 2 girls can't play near their house in the country without some scumbag putting several holes into both of them with 2 different guns.
I'ld still like to know more about the .22 cal used as well, because as I remember they had "two sets" of footprints by the truck they thought was the shooters. In other words, 2 people involved.

The police have not talked about the .22. They referred to that gun as a "small caliber handgun". The police did suspect two shooters.
