hi can anyone tell me where i can get pics of this model . on the inside near the feed tube..... i have one that is not holding in the rounds properly anymore and i want to see if i am missing a part or what so i can repir it ...
Once you figure out what's broken or missing, chances are they have the replacement part(s) for you as well.
When you say "not holding in the rounds properly", what do you mean? They don't stay in the magazine tube, or they fall off the bolt as the action is being closed, or...?
they do dont stay in the tube ad come out part way into the area under the breach . it wil get jammed some times.. they can be up to 1/3 of the way or more out of the tube. i chekced the pics but they dont show inside the gun where i need to see.. i cant seem to find a piece that keeps the rounds in the tube till you ready to chanmber another round....
There is a peice there that keeps the shells in the magazine. That piece" is just a flat spring that moves in and out. It is usaully pinned toward the front of the gun or there may be a hole in it that rides on a short pin that keeps it in place.
Sometimes that flat spring will lose tension and not spring anymore and it just stays put, rather than moving out to block the shells in the tube from entering into the magazine well.
You might be able to remove the spring, bend it out a bit and put it back in. I've done it on various shotguns and it works.
the diagram attached has the parts i am talklking about . part 15 sits flush to the side of the gun . but it is pressed in close when part 52 slides forward pushhing the round into the bore.. it also casues the littel tine part on the front to depress. it comes out and stops the rounds from leaving the feeder tube when part 52 is back allowing the next round to be lifted to be chambered... that is all i have there.. i think i am missing something.. bending that wont work. to my mind. casue if it where engaged all the time then . well anyways..
That part has to have some" spring" in it, its a heat treated part. It has to have a slight bend in it to work, not enough to keep if from sliding back into the receiver, but enough to engage the rim of the shell to keep it from popping out when the shell carrier moves upward to chamber the shell. Its a delicate thing and it must be just right or it wont work.Good luck. Let us know how it goes.
