Just ordered a new Smith and Wesson Model 18 in 22lr. Cannot wait to start plinkin with it. I am totally in love with revolvers, and hope to purchase a Smith model 22 next in 45 ACP.... thank you Christmas bonus!!! I will post pictures in 4 weeks, which is how long in NYS it will take to finally take ownership of it. In Broome county, the judge must approve each and every handgun purchase. For now i will leave you with a pic i got from the internet.
Excellent choice, enjoy. I,m with you on revolvers. They are great shooters. Been looking at the old Bisley and Valquero's just something neat about them. Shooting with he old west!

I don't know if I could ever get accustomed to this. Or in Illinois, where you need a license/permit to purchase ammo. Weird, just weird.

Congrats on the new buy, though.[/QUOT
It drives me crazy to hear people say "look what came home with me today" and then post pictures of a gun they purchased that day... not the way it works here. But at least i can own handguns... was a long long process.
Congratulations! I found a nice Model 17 with a 6" barrel a couple of years ago... what a magnificent gun. You're going to love yours! And kudos to Smith & Wesson for bringing back some classics.

Hey Bunker, I was born in Broome County! Lived there until I was 13 years old. Any idea where Union Center or Maine are located? Oh, nice gun also!
I do know where that is at. I live in West Windsor... moved here from Syracuse 8 years ago. Lovely area, although the flood here this past fall devastated much of the area and businesses. Bunker
