My wife just took the position of director of the library at a university here in Colorado. The head of campus security paid her a visit and they were discussing several topics, including "active shooter". He said since campus carry is legal here in Colorado they worried about someone "cowboying" and that they knew there were 26 faculty and staff with CCWs.
The wife looked him in the eye and said "27".

It's ridiculous to think that any more than a small minority of responsible students and staff are going to carry in the first place.
The old tired line that everyone and their brother is going to be carrying guns and shootings going on everywhere is absurd. It has never proven out and is the same old line the anti's spout to shoot down the possibility of campus carry.

I am slowly working on my wife. She now has me leave my HD pistol where she can access it when I am out. It has been a long way from not even wanting to look at a gun.
Once she gets her permit to carry and her journey will be complete

Why would she need to carry? We all know campus security will protect everyone. Just look at the fine job they did protecting people at the University of Texas, Virginia Tech and Northern Illinois University to name a few.
