Shot an AR-15 for the first time today.

My friend bought an AR with his Christmas bonus and invited me to the range to shoot it today. I've never shot any sort of rifle before other than a cheap .22 rifle. I've never shot anything with a scope before. Here are two photos, one of me shooting at the 100yd range and a picture of my first target. Now, it probably looks like I'm bragging about my skill with the great little group. But I'm not. As I said, I've never shot anything like this before. What I'm bragging about is how incredible the gun was. I was really amazed that I was able to produce such a close group at such a ridiculous distance. Now I keep coming up with excuses why I need to buy one of these for myself!

Nice shooting for the first time, with a gun your not familiar with. An excuse to buy one.....ah....why do you need an excuse? Oh well, if you really need one....when the SHTF your going to need something for long range work.

Now you know why the AR is so popular.

Welcome to the world of Evil Black Rifles! There's no turning back now. I predict you now must own one of your own. There's no use fighting it. It will happen.

And if you ever needed an excuse... That's pretty good shootin'

darn you! I want one, but for obvious reasons refuse to buy one in my forsaken state as they have been neutered to the nth degree and would be harder to use in a shtf scenario than it is worth. You have a good friend!

I bought my first AR15 six months ago. I never thought I would own one, but now im looking for another one.
Find one you like, buy it, and go have some fun.
