New grips on my competition 1911's.

Well after being away from handgun competition for about 15 years I have decided to start again this year. I am going to shoot Steel Challenge and IPSC. I am dedicating this season to my Grampa. His favorite color was yellow so I got me some yellow grips for both my Colts that I am using in competition. I bet I will be the only guy there with yellow grips. Now to find a yellow holster….

You know, if someone just described that to me with no pictures I think I would want to vomit, but they actually look strangely appealing....

Thanks Man, I really didn't care how they looked but they are OK. I have some green bumper pads coming for my mags. I just wanted to do some thing special this year because it has been so long since I have shot competition and I wanted to honor my Grampa. Thanks for the replies guys.

"it has been so long since I have shot competition and I wanted to honor my Grampa."

Why not get the grips Laser Engraved with something appropriate? That would be neat.

Those are bright, you might want to issue sunglass for those around you. Good look shooting!

Thanks, I will need all the luck I can get. My eyes are not as good as they used to be and my draw time is about 1/2 as fast as it used to be. But I know I will have alot of fun just like in the old days.

Yep, they ARE yellow, I surmise this is so they can be hidden in a bunch of bananas? :)
Nice looking M1911s, how good do they shoot?

They both shoot better than me. I will be taking them out tomorrow for a IDPA Classifier.
