Sunday shootin'
Took my younger daughter out today shooting. She is 10 yrs old and really like shooting the Ruger 10/22. I set her up at approx. 35 yrds with a bunch of ballons and let her pop em. She did well and only missed a few shots.
Next I shot a few mags thru the 10/22 , then my AR and Browning Buckmark. Had a diffrent buffer in the AR and a new scope base on the buckmark. Sorry no pics, my digital cammera is crap.

Good job, Rocky!..
Start 'em young and teach 'em right...and balloons make great targets for new shooters, because they give instant feedback when shot.

Sounds like a great day you had today. My daughter will be 10 in a few months and I was think I'd do the same. Thanks for the balloon idea!

Way to go, start teaching the kids the right way, and early.

I started my grandson on baloons at 25 yarsd when he was 8. It is a good way to get the interest of the younger set.

Rocky-
Enjoy them at that age as much as you can. My little girl is 24, and is a state correctional officer. They grow up fast, so pop as many balloons with them as you can!

Balloons...whoda thunk it?
That's a great idea. I've been teaching my son about shooting. Balloons sound like so much better an idea, plus they can be big enough for them to hit easily.
I like it. Thanks.

Making it fun and easy at the early stages seems to help. Builds confidence and allows em to share another interest with me.
