    Serial Number

I have a few old weapons and I am trying to look up their serial numbers online to find out a little about the history on that particular weapon. Can anyone lead me to a website that can assist me with this. I have done this one other time on a few weapons but that was so long ago I can't remember how I did it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Not sure if it's just shotguns or not but that link now kinda makes it seem that way .

Apart from that last document which has some useful info the rest of the links appear to be rather dead.

Send an email directly to the manufacturer, if they are still in business. Another good place to check would be a gun musuem.

The only thing I can add is depending on how old they are they may not have a serial number. Serial numbers were not required on all firearms until around 1968. I have 2 shotguns made prior to 1968 and they do not have serial numbers on them but all my other guns do.
