    SHOT Show 2012 Thread

OK its coming up again. SHOT Show. What do you all wanna see?

Most importantly, any body have any idea about what we are gonna see? Ill start.

    The Sig P224 looks interesting.

I dont think Glock will bring anything new and ground breaking out until Gaston kicks the bucket. Looks like by the Glock Annual the only new things will be new Gen 4 models. YAWN.

I have no idea what I am in for. I do know that Bunny is going to the shot Show as well.

I am looking at the new Heizer. I think that is a cool firearm. My question to them is if the frame is titanium what prevents somebody from illegally walking thru the metal detectors at the airport or courthouse. http://heizerfirearms.com/

Who else is going to the Shot Show? How long you going to be in town for? Maybe a DC dinner one night?

I'm actually quite content with the selection of CC hardware that is available... Maybe some more offerings along the lines of the hi-cap 1911 45?

I would like to see more development around the .308, particularly some innovation in the AR10 platform. More compact, but still priced in the mid-tier AR range.

How about what will this year's blooper be? S&W stepped up to the plate last year with "The Governor"...

    Ok, I'll play.

How about a GLOCK with a 4.5"-5" barrel, 7-8 round .45acp built on the same SlimLine concept as the G36?

Of course, I am NOT holding my breath!

Other than that pipe dream, I'm good with what I have.

I can't go this year. But my wish is for S&W to bring back the real M&P series of K frame revolvers with 3 inch barrels, offered with fixed or adjustable sights.

I would also like Ruger to bring out an express style rifle chambered in the 300 H&H.
I would like to see all rifle manufactures put iron sights on their guns.

And somebody, Ruger or Smith, bring out an L frame in 44 spl.

Remington to bring back the Nylon 66.
    multistage and Cory1022 like this.
Ignorance is a long way from stupid, but left unchecked, can get there real fast.

the iron sight idea is the best so far. I don't expect anything big. probably the same stuff with a different barrel length.

I would love to see a PCC for Glock or a 9mm single stack. Its a running joke on a couple other forums how they will never happen.

    HKinNY,
Heizer web site seems to be a computer generated hand gun. Can't find them entering into the Shot Show.

Probably the same thing as the "ceramic" pistols: bullets, steel springs. etc. My brass belt buckle sets off TSA every time (or is it the lead in my arse?).

I'd love to see some "quality" revolvers on the market again. Some S&Ws and Colts would fill the bill nicely. Yeah, that would be nice.

I would like to see the Chiappa lineup... they make some interesting looking revolvers. Also would like to see Smith and Wesson make a snubby 6 shot revolver in 38 +P. Bunker
