    Bought my first firearm!

    I went to my LGS and ordered a P229 in 9mm. Will be in Monday they say. I'm sooo excited!

    Make sure you get some training on safe gun handling.

    I have, and will continue taking classes probably twice a year, plus re-qualifying for my Armed Security license annually.

    Yes...I'm already eyeing a S&W 638 Bodyguard as a nice BUG. Probably have to wait 'till my birthday, though.

    Congrats, sure this is just the beginning, they are addictive......if your going to carry concealed, remember, do not put a 500 dollar gun in a ten dollar holster n try to hold it up with a wal-mart belt, they key to continued and succesful cc is to outfit yourself with quality accessories.

    I was unemployed until last June. I joined a couple of years ago thinking I was going to get a job with the Security force at the local nuke plant and I would be able to buy a gun by my 21st birthday, but I didn't get the job. Been applying for jobs ever since, but nobody would hire me without job experience (figure that out; how are you supposed to get experience without someone hiring you, lol) until I got a call for an interview and the guy saw that I was passionate about Security and he decided to give me a chance as a temp/fill in.     I got a Galco Summer comfort and a Galco gun belt months ago in anticipation of this day, lol
