How did you spend your New Years Eve?

Hey guys, I figured this year we would bring the New Years in with a very gratifying activity. So I grabbed a few of our friends and the in-laws.

I can truthfully say I did not spend New Year's Eve the way you did, sadly. We spent the day at home, the weather wasn't all that great for the outdoor range we frequent so it was a no-go.

Nice arsenal by the way. I see you have a Mosin-Nagant 91/30. I recently got one and love it.

Yea I love the Mosin, my brother-in-law forgot to throw his on the table, its a 91/30 as well but was a Navy Issue (Blue Sling). They shoot awesome out to 100 yards

Sadly that arsenal is only partly mine, however its good to have family and friends that share the same interests haha ;)

During the day, went to range. Indoor pistol.
XD45 and Smith eSeries that day.
    300 rounds.
    Had the range to myself.

Lit up the night with $500 of fireworks, roasted marshmallows, and was in bed by 10:30pm. Staying up that late is about as wild as it gets at my house.

    Raged in Atl.

New Year's Eve is kinda lame, however. It's amateur hour out in town for the most part.

I hear that! We were in bed by about 11 :) but fireworks are more than worthy of that time!

Was camping with several of our friends and families--we cooked a big Dutch Oven dinner over the coals, sat around the fire with coffee and swapped stories--everyone was in bed by 10, but we were back around the fire by 5 am on the first.
Old folks can celebrate and have a good time without as much expenditure of calories or effort.

BTW, did the same thing last year and the year before.

Daytime, I went out to our property to get some work done. Luckily it was also unseasonably warm so I did some shooting at 200, 300, and 400 yards:

Evening, we did the finger food thing, drank sparkling grape juice (red AND white!) and played monody with our 8 year old.

New Yearís just isnít as exciting as it used to be.
