    Magazine oddity

A round in the 4,5,or 6 slot jingles around in one of my spare mags. I took it apart and cleaned it, and the last time I was at the range I ran some FMJ through the mag with no malfunctions, but I didn't run any SD rounds through it. It's getting really annoying, and my OCD wont let me stop shaking it. Anyone else experience this, is it normal? And should I keep carrying that spare mag?

Yes, I have; yes, it is; yes, you should. Quit shaking it.

    LOLWell, that settles that.

(My Glock mags do that as well. It's nothing to worry about.)

    I love it!

    Short, concise and accurate!

BTW: I have noticed that if I download my magazine by one round, the rattling usually stops.

I've found that alot of double stack mags do that. Ole Faithful (my S&W 6906) has a rattletrap magazine. Once its in the gun its quiet, but I know it rattles, and it drives me nuts. I feel your pain, but dont stop carrying it. It'll function just fine.

Just satisfy your need to shake by slapping it hard into your hand on the primer side once a day and be done with it. This should 'seat' the cartridges in their proper place. I don't know if it matters in a modern pistol, but it was/is pretty popular among the AR crowd. Apparently there was/is an issue with fail2feeds if the cartridges aren't rearly seated.
