Lol. I WOULD shoot it, once. Just to say that I had done it. I guess I worded the title wrong. I know it seems like, Why would you want to shoot it. But the OMG WHY! was one sentence, followed with, Would you want to shoot it. HAHA.. Oh well. Hope people enjoy the video.

A better question, why would anyone make it? Does it have any practical application? Elephant? Sniper?

A friend of mine sent a link to that video in an email the other day. I passed it on to a couple other shooting friends. All of us agreed 1) we wouldn't want to shoot it and 2) the cost of shooting it would be prohibitive! And since we are all former government employees, we believe that the maker will try to get a government contract!They'll try and sucker Uncle Sam into buying several hundred of them for shooting "something".

I think the 2 bore might give it a run for it's money, and it actually is shoulder fired. It's black powder though. 1.32" (34mm) 3500 gr projectile at 1500'/sc. 28" barrel and 22 lbs 3 oz.

I loved to see the firearms but to shoot them. I think not. Too many shots with a 12 gauge leaves my shoulder good and bruised and seeing that I have had both operated on I would consider it to be "not very well thought out" if I were to shoot one. Thanks for the videos.

Closest I think I came is an old 8 guage, octogon barrell shotgun when I was about twelve.

This might be the exception to the notion that shot placement trumps caliber. In this case, I dont think shot placement matters much. Taking a 2500 fps hit from a tractor trailer lug nut would take the fight out of just about any would be attacker. That thing is sweet.
Not for me. Shoot that thing the wrong way once and it's time to see the orthopedic surgeon.
But it's cool watching others shoot it.

kewl factor, thats why I shoot a .500 cal pistol had to do it once... really wasn't that bad....
