    First gun you ever fired?

My step dad used to keep an old double barreled 12 gauge nearby to kill the rabbits in his garden. It was summer and I was about 12 and a Blue Jay was making a racket outside. No one was home and I went out to shoot the bird.

I had never fired a real gun in my life and was not prepared for what happened next. I aimed at the Blue Jay and fired BOTH barrels!

I remember the bird disentegrating and then landing flat on my back - hurt and scared to death! Never did that again...

First firearm experience would go to the .22 rifle on the Boy Scout shooting range, not sure how old I was. Not too long after that was a 20 gauge on the Boy Scout skeet range. Before that was just BB guns.

I don't have ready access to that gun and don't know the model. It was Remington single fire bolt action
    22. Probably was manufactured and sold sometime around 1946.

Cheap cast metal blank pistol, barrel drilled out in high school machine shop to 15/64 for .22short ammo. I did several for myself and close chums. A few guns blew up, but no one got hurt, but end result was school/neighborhood bullies left us alone.

Second gun fired was M1 Garand in basic training.

I'm 37 now. The first gun I ever fired was when I was 10. It was my Uncle's 1961 Seneca Green Nylon 66. As of this past fall, it now sits in my safe.

My dad had me shoot his .357 ruger at 7 years old. Made learning with a .22 that much more fun.

Ruger 10/22 when I was a kid, 9 or younger.

First shots with a pistol was my P90 when I was 24.
