    Gun "accidently" discharges in HS

Typical ignorant, lib journalism. What's sad about this article is:
    - the ".9mm" bullet that was "accidently" discharged
    - the other weapons and contraband found during the impromptu raid

Of course, they don't say that it was the shooter who accidently discharged the gun, but the gun ("it") that accidently discharged. It almost always reported as the gun's fault.

However, I bet it was NO accident that:
    - this punk acquired (most likely) an illegal gun
    - he was able to get his hands on live ammo
    - it was loaded and in Condition 1
    - the gun ended up in his backpack
    - he brought the gun to school

Guns, pills, booze found in high school

No accident on the guns part, it did exactly what it was designed to do!

Must be a new caliber on the market. I've not seen a .9mm caliber gun in this neck of the woods.

Leave it to the press to screw up a simple story.

If it isn't guns killing people, it is SUVs doing the same. Get the same liberal bent with stories involving those gas guzzling rich peoples' trucks. It is always SUV that loses control and never the driver.

I don't know why anyone would carry a .9mm. I can't see that ever being an effective self defense round. I hope that the parents of this young individual sit him down and give him a stern lecture about how only a .45 caliber pistol is adequate.

    Sorry, I had to.

Appears this school has a lot more issues than guns that go off by themselves.

Officers reviewed security footage that showed the teen pulling a gun out of his backpack, when it accidentally discharged.
If they REALLY reviewed the security footage they would have seen his finger on the trigger and the gun did exactly as it was designed to do.

It all started when a 16-year-old boy from Harper Woods High School brought a gun to school....Officers reviewed security footage that showed the teen pulling a gun out of his backpack, when it accidentally discharged.
I think it's pretty clear that the kid fired the gun. I'm as frustrated by the media's poor coverage of the topic as you, but I think you are really fishing here. In any event, "liberalism" has nothing to do with what this article said.

Several kids arrested for guns, pills, and booze...and they only brought that stuff to school to turn it all in so they could start turning their lives around...honest!

It is to the anti-gunners advantage to make as many people as possible believe that dangerous guns can just "go off" and discharge all by themselves. That will help sway the ignorant masses more toward banning them should they ever get the chance. They have no desire to print the truth or to be fair or accurate in their reporting.

I realize that "liberalism" has nothing to do with the story itself, but EVERYTHING to do with how it is written/published...I was taking into consideration the source when I made my "lib" comment, no fishing was necessary.
