Vintage S&W Model 60
First off, I am not a revolver guy. I know very little about them and only shoot them when a bubby brings his to the range. But, like many of us, I have always had a soft spot for the classic snub nose. Too many cop/detective TV shows and movies, I guess.
This first came to my attention over the weekend. It is a S&W Model 60 circa 1973 (thanks for the information, bmcgilvray). The seller was asking $400. I don’t know if I over paid or not, and I don’t care. This little gun just seems to scratch an itch I never knew I had.
So, here it is.

Wonderful find at a great price, congratulations. Having the original box and accessories adds even more to the value.

You did great!!!! I would jump on it in a heart beat. Classic piece. I like your line "scratched an itch you didn't even know you had." Classic line.

Yep nice find and with the original box and paperwork is pretty rare

Thanks, guys. One thing I failed to mention is that it shoots REALLY well, too. :)

Great find!
The S&W Mod. 60 is one of the greatest CCWs ever made.
For a revolver guy its a must have ,thats why they go for $500.00 to $600.00 around here.

Nice find hope you enjoy many years together

Everybody should own at least one!

Very nice. Including box. For that price you did good. Those usually go for over $500 here locally.

I owned a Model 60 no dash for a few years. Great gun and only one of two guns I regret selling.

Congrats! I'd totally jump on a Model 60 for 400 bucks.
Those things are coveted and they, along with their blued counterpart, the Model 36, go for quite a bit of cash these days.
My dad has an old Model 60 in great shape from his LE days. It's in a closet and he hasn't even seen it for years, so I offered him a trade. No dice.
