    help....what causes this?

    Help... What is causing this, how do i fix it and will it effect the casing if i wanted to reload. Its coming out of a officer size 1911

    That would be the very end face of your extractor causing an abrasion mark on the cartridge case as the brass moves up into your extractor during the feed cycle.
    Ideally there should be a tiny amount of clearance there but, if your pistol is feeding fine w/ the extractor the way it is then I wouldn't be concerned about it.

    I agree and it will have no effect on reloading the cases. There is no need to but if you want you can take an India stone and dress off the very end of the extractor but just enough to prevent contact.

    Welcome to the forum.

    As others have said, as long as your gun is feeding properly, nothing to worry about. BUT if you like, you could send it to any of use to shoot and give you a second opinion.
