My first attempt - custom paint job (be gentle in the criticism to me)

Well, it isn't perfect, but my wife is happy and that is the important part. I took her KelTec PF9 and painted the polymer part pink for her. She has wanted a pink gun since she is into pink, and so I promised her I would do it. I used Krylon Fusion spray paint and it came out pretty good. The real rough spot is around the magazine release (both sides) and inside the trigger guard. But the real benefit to this paint job is that she relented and said I could buy myself another gun as a reward for doing this for her.

As long as she is happy, the problem I foresee is how the paint will hold up thru cleaning solvents etc. If the paint doesn't hold up KG Gun Kote makes an air cure product that comes in flat Pink that needs to be air brushed on,if you have an air compressor you can pick up a cheap airbrush from harbor freight for under $10 on sale and gun kote is $12 + S&H

While not a fan of pink that is a good-looking job.

I'd flame your pink pistol, but you did a better job than I could do right now.......and I wager a beer your a much worse critic of your work than I could be.

Bottom line: If Momma is happy, YOUR happy!

I think it looks kinda cool anyways.

I am happy - I get to pick up my S&W M&P 45 later today because she's happy.

Nice Job! I agree with the other poster, and how it will hold up to cleaning solvents. Only time will tell right?

Ask her what you get if you have all the metal parts stripped and refinished in pink! Think new AR.

You know what they say, if the wife is happy, life is happy! Looks like you did a fine job! Also interested to learn how it holds up over time.

Hell, if the reward was a new gun who cares how it came out, you did your best, right?

I like it but my wife wants turquoise color for her next gun... Looking at getting a snub 38 special and powder coating the handles for her. That would take care of any bore cleaner and solvents I use on the cleaning of guns now.

So I am looking for a snub now... hint...

Who cares if it holds up to solvents? You pick up your M&P now. If it comes off after you have your M&P, oh well The end justifies the means!!
