FiveseveN or desert eagle 50 for new range toy?

I know both are apples and oranges but i want a non standard 'novelty' semi and been thinking about a desert eagle chambered in 50ae...

I posted a ccw thread about it and someone mentioned the FiveseveN. It's another 'odd caliber' pistol and thought that cold be a good choice too

So I wanted to ask some opinions on which you'd rather get. I'm not looking for a competition pistol, a carry pistol or anything. I just want a different kind of pistol that I'll probably shoot couple times a year and a conversation piece. Maybe I'll ccw it once or twice lol...

    Thanks!

Between those two, I think I would go with the FiveseveN.

DE are fun to shoot. (Once or twice) But, they get old fast. (Too much recoil! Too much $$$$)

A FiveseveN can be shot all day. Big mag dumps are possible and anyone can shoot one. (NOT so for the DE-50)

    I'd take the .50 DE.

The novelty of the 5.7 wears off pretty quick when you figure out that you are shooting nothing more than a hot .22.

When you go to the range, and you pull that .50 out of the sack, everyone is going to want to see it and shoot it.
    Thats when the fun begins...

What is cooler than a gold plated DE .50?

The Five seveN would be the better one if you wanted to shoot it, but the sheer badassery of a gold plated Desert Eagle can't be beat.

I have a Five Seven and it is loads of fun to shoot. The ammo is about $22 a box for the regular stuff. I shot a Desert Eagle 50AE once! It was something I'm glad I did, but would not consider doing it regularly (like a 454 casull)...

You guys are having the same thought process as I am!

FiveseveN is somewhat practical and fun.

Deagle is just an insane gun that'll attract attention.

I'm not worried about ammo cost as these things will probably shoot 50 rounds a year. Just want a cool addition to my collection. Things is, both are cool and both are useless to a point.

Get a tiger stripe DE if you want a conversation piece.

FiveseveN. If you ever get bored with it and decide to blow more money, you can always pick up a PS90 and at least you'll have a common ammo that you can share between both your PDW and your handgun.

If I decide to blow more money, I'm getting a Keltec RFB, or the other one from what I don'get here lol...

the PS90 doesn't interest me. maybe if it was SBR to begin with or something. with that size, I'll just get a FS2000 or another bullpup rifle (or a .308 AR)

I don't buy range toys. If I can't carry 'em, its a waste of my money. I would rather buy more ammo and actually get good with the ones I do carry every day than punch paper with another safe king.

....but its your money and my vote is the 5-7. Could be used as a carry gun with no problem since its pretty light.

this is an exhibition of cluelessness. if you had any sort of knowledge of the round you'd know that the 5.7x28 round out of short handgun barrel is far away from a .22 mag from a hand gun barrel. the 57 would be like a 22mag from a 16+inch rifle barrel.
