We went to the indoor gun range today (Ladies shoot free on Monday's). Anyway, I wanted her to try some different guns other than my XDM Compact... She started with the photo below... 357 and after shooting a few guns decided she likes the S&W 640 series... in the 38.
Her smile after the first few shots in the 357 were priceless.
I went through 250+ rounds in my XDM and I had 4 FTF when shooting Tula and I changed over to my Winchester and no more problems. One of the Russian bullets was actually smaller than the other 9mm... I have no idea how that happen but I am glad it FTF'd. It was in the new box of ammo I opened while at the range... Anyway, the targets where mostly at 10yds and I had a good day shooting...
Sounds like it was either 9mm makarov,or possibly even 380.Wolf quit making primers ,but Tula primers have shown up on reloading suppliers websites,my buddy has bought some and has had several that have failed to fire.Tula primers must be as bad as their ammo
My son is in Bahrain and one of his NEC's is a range officer for the Navy. He teaches gun safety on every weapon Navy issues. Can't wait for him to get home this August. He loves September when he is required to shot up all the fiscal years ammo...
Have her try the 637 Airweight with Crimson Trace. The grip is a bit longer and the hole goes where the red dot is. At 15.2 oz, it is a near perfect carry gun. Absolutely reliable and with +P hollow points quite adequate. Of course I'm prejudice.
I reminded her she has $2000 in her checking account ;} A friend of mine has one of those Airweight and I was amazed at how light it was. Great gun for her. BTW,She knows she won't keep it in her purse..
Yes, That was the 686. I had her start out with the bigger guns for recoil and work down in barrel length. I was amazed that she did not have a huge kick up firing that one.
When I came downstairs yesterday after returning from the range, I saw she had a website up and a 642 with pink grips. It was a site for women looking for a carry gun... As I said, I created a monster... She is really loving it and I think she will do well when she gets to go to the range when the son comes home...
I wouldnt argue anymore, the only words that should come out of your mouth when she talks are "Yes hunnie". Or fear the wrath of a monster, who now knows how much fun range time is!
OUCH! Word to the wise - don't let your wife read everything you write on forums, unless you want to pay the price. I guess I am now the one on the auction block.

My wife tired my 686 with 38's and now she says it is hers. I let her think it is. Oh wait ,she now keeps it on her side of the bed, I guess it is hers? ( don't know if I should laugh or cry)
