I'll have to look into Gander Mountain, but our local Walmart doesn't actually carry guns, just ammo. I guess I could try the online registry though.

OC works well on door to door salesmen that are sketchy too.

I realize that sometimes the best defense is a good offense, the problem is I hope you got a good home security system and bolted down gun safes, usually these type of mouth breathers don't work and being home all day they may just watch to see what the routine at your house is,they know you have guns ,that can be traded in a felony minute for drugs

Heck, a good friend of mine was also cleaning a shotgun when a boy showed up for a date with his oldest daughter who is not into guns... Dad introduced himself and looked the boy over and did not say a word.. They go out and youngest daughter tells dad, she wants to be the one cleaning the shotgun next time... Yes, she hunts and skins with her dad... too cool...

There are some rental houses close by, one next door, to my house, so we occasionally see some "unique" transient neighbors. As I'm working, one guy comes walking up my driveway (about 75 feet). Never seen him before. It's about 75* and he's wearing a jacket..... I stand up and asked if I could help him. He says, "whatcha building?"

Without cracking a smile or missing a beat, I say "rifle and pistol target stands for a home defense firearms class I teach". OMG, Scotty could not have beamed this guy up any quicker than he left my drive! I don't really teach a class, it just seemed like the best smart assed answer I could come up with at the time. LOL

Son & I are rolling! 14 year old daughter gives me hell for scaring this guy.

Some days, I really love being me

The pool guy was here yesterday to work on my pool. I went out back with him while OC'ing my Sig 1911 Ultra. When I came in for a munition my daughter got on to me for wearing my gun outside saying I may scare the man.
When I went back out he asked "is that a Kember you are carrying?". Turns out he is a gun guy too as is his son-In-law and his 84 year old mother who caries concealed.

I just tell the boy he better not hurt my little girl. And I mention that I've been to prison once and I don't mind going back. Funny how my daughter doesn't get many second dates.

Might also want to drip some red paint on the drive, by the garage door, and leave a few pieces or crime scene tape tacked to the door. Make them think twice if they do come back!

Sounds like a good way to protect the family all around.

Had a boy over to dinner that was interested in my daughter, while we ate my boy we saying "show him the gun safe" in kind of a echo voice.
