Birthday's coming up and the Wife wants to get me a firearm. I know, she's awesome. So I decided on a .22 for plinking and a camp gun. The PPS 22 caught my eye and I can get it for $290.
Someone, talk me out of it because tomorrow i'm pulling the trigger.
Those puma 22's don't have very good reviews .
Maybe consider a tactical looking Ruger 10/22 or such if the look is what you want? At least you know with a Ruger the reliability and C/s is there should you need it.

The Puma 22 1911 lookalike from what I understand has jamming issues,If you can spring a few more bucks and want tactical I would look at the S&W M&P Ar15 22lr,Buds has them for $433.00 free shipping.
Or like Rocky suggested,a 10/22 with an after market stock like below link
