I don't need to train any farther as I have met the state requirments.
I don't need to practice any further than 7 yards because most gunfights occur within that distance.
I don't need to carry extra ammunition because the statistics say less than three rounds are fired in a gunfight.
I don't need to or I do not feel comfortable with a round in the chamber and I will simply use the Modified Israeli Draw that I saw on Youtube. It works for them.
The bad guys will flee the moment they see my gun.
Wearing a 5.11 vest will cause me to be targeted first in the event of a crime because it just screams "He is carrying a gun".
OC'ing will not get me targeted first but will deter the crime from ever being committed.
Unless you carry, "X" in caliber "X" you are not going to survive a lethal force encounter because instructor "X" says so.
A 9mm round, or several 9mm rounds, to the face or chest of an adversary will not deter them simply because it is a 9mm.
According to a study from the "Armed Citizen" section of American Rifleman a .22 will suffice 86.98768969% percent of the time in a SD situation.

Had my CCW SR9c on me as we were driving to Wal Mart so I could buy some new "carry shirts" and as we're going down the road, my wife asks me if it's loaded! WHAT THE...??? I ask her what good is it to carry it around unloaded? What am I going to do, BEAT the guy to death with it??? Looks like some more training around the house is required. Don't tell her I posted this or I'll be fearing for my life!

I wish I had something witty/funny to relay but I don't. Only my GF and two close friends know I carry. Is funny reading some of these though.
