Hmmm, maybe we should email them and tell them we'll take our business elsewhere. After a few thousand emails they might change there mind. :)

Funny how they just don't get it that "SAFE ZONES" are only safe for the criminals.

    Is that legal signage??
"Rock and load, lock and roll... what's it matter? FIRE!!"

Not sure. Per handgunlaw.us VA signs don't have legal bearing and this sign doesn't look like anything official (not that I know what that looks like).

In a San Francisco paper, no surprise there. And it's from 2004 and dead wrong on some of the laws now. Lots of changes since then. The main one being you can CC now, not just OC if they serve alcohol.

Wonder if homeland security endorses this, or it the business is just trying to be funny.

Firearms equated to WMDs and bad 70s haircuts. Not sure how I feel about the WMD comparison, but the haircut is over the line.

    Pen power vs. ballot power

Without fear of voter backlash, much harm can be done administratively by the Executive Branch through Homeland Security and ATF.

I think not. I think the voter backlash from regulatory over-reach will be significant. It is not just the BATFE and HS, but reaches into the FDA, Department of Health (Tobacco labeling dust-up and the like among others), the DOJ, the EPA, the DOE...........they are all horribly guilty of over-stepping and it will take many dollars in Courts or a change in the resident at 1600 to change it. Change it will, it will just take time.

Personally, I think the sign is ignorant, and an attempt at humor by the establishment. I do not think the DHS would be amused.

I think with the cartoonish guy and the reference to WMDs, it might have been a joke/spoof of HS, not an actual sign. It wouldn't surprise me either way.
