Then he sorted through the spent brass casings on the floor to find a few of each caliber he had shot as souvenirs.

Interesting that unknowingly the distinguished Council Chairman Kwame Brown just committed a felony by bringing unregistered ammunition into DC (see above, collecting spent brass souvenirs).

Unless the law has been recently amended (which it hopefully has), the transport of ammunition into DC (DC legal definition of ammunition includes spent shell casings) is illegal unless the ammunition is only of the same type and caliber employed by a firearm legally registered in the name of the ammunition transporter (or the transporter is a licensed firearms dealer or an officer of DC acting on duty and transporting the ammunition within the scope of his duties).

Maybe you can teach an old dog new tricks......of course getting him to perform them may be a little more difficult.

the transport of ammunition into DC (DC legal definition of ammunition includes spent shell casings)
How many here would think that spent cartridge cases are considered ammo? Could you be charged with a crime if during a stop they found spent 22 rim fire brass in your vehicle?
Its hard to obey the laws when those who create them get to make up their own definitions for the words they use.

Yep, that is pure insanity on display. Might as well call a flat sheet of stamped brass unregistered ammunition by that definition.

I guess if I wore a bullet bracelet made out of 223 brass and bullets with no live primer or powder into that hell hole I would be committing a felony! That right there is proof that there that the constitution of the USA is being walked upon as if it was nothing more than worthless print on paper.
Maybe it is time to cleanse the Country and return it to the vision our Forefathers had.

Scary word in the political context.
Americans understood the right of self-preservation as permitting a citizen to repel force by force
when the intervention of society... may be too late to prevent an injury.
