Perfect day of shooting with the whole family

Well, today was the very first time my whole family was able to go to the range as a family! For the last several years, when I go to the range I take my 9 year old daughter and my son stays home with mom. A little over a week ago I took my 6 year old son to the range for the very first time. He did amazingly well, and keeps reminding me how he loves going to the range.

Today, my wife, daughter and son joined me all joined me, each with their own gun. I was very VERY pleased with my son's shooting and safety skills at the 25 yards, my wife and daughter spent some time at the 50 yards, before we all moved to the 100 yard, where my son watched, my wife and daughter did a pretty good job.

There is nothing better than a family day at the range!

I don't mind that at all! Sunday rules for me/my family is family time - preferably at the range! My family goes to church on Saturday's so the blessings on Sunday include remembering that my family is more important to me than the new gun I want to get, and my kids are not to be taken for granted.

I just heard recently that a former highschool classmate just lost his daugther to cancer (she was 14). If you have kids, PLEASE remember they are not for granted and cherish every moment. My son likes me to took him in at night, sometimes I feel it is a pain but recently I count it as a blesssing that I have my children to spend time with, teach them how to shoot, and to tuck them into bed at night. I so enjoyed the family time today! Family and kids are indeed a blessing.
