About LinkBacksI went to go buy my first ever handgun today and they said mine was pending for someone reason. I do have a 2 misdemeanor charges from like a few years ago?? Anyone give me any tips on how long it will take to find out if I get approved??!!

If I remember correcctly they have 3 business days to approve or deny the purchase.

they used to red flag me all the time and then I got my CHL and now I walk out with my gun and ammo

For some people that is a common occurence. You should be cleared shortly. Just be patient.

One of the guys here at work is going through the same thing right now with a long gun. I told him to be patient and it will work out happens all the time.

Yeah happened to me as well on a Ruger 10/22.
As long as you don't have a domestic violence charge or have a felony you are good to go.
Nodakguy: Your SSN is an optional field on the 4473 form, but often speeds things up if you have a common name. Just curious, did you include it on yours?

I got a new handgun on Saturday and they said it wasn't instantly approved and last time it did. Nothing changed since my last gun purchase. Called me a day later and said everything is good to go. I wouldn't worry about it.

wow, every time bought a gun it's taken a few minutes and I was on my merry way.

This happend to me 1 time, but I was pretty sure it was B/C I bought a hand gun in FL 3 days earlier and was now buying a AK-47 at a range in GA. 2 days later and I was good to go. You should not worry at all. Better to know they are doing there jobs then to feel like anyone can just go grab a gun.
I want, what they want, and every other guy who came over here and spilled his guts and gave everything he had, wants! For our country to love us as much as we love it! That's what I want!
