Its better to be backed up with something that she can shoot accurately... For me, i think it was a smart decision. Bunker

    Nice.

I've been kinda eyeing the Charter Pathfinder snubbie in .22 WMR.

recoil, is not just a matter of caliber... it's a matter of the gun it's being shot in. My .357 GP100 4" , has very little recoil compared to most 9mm semi's, etc.

A friend has one small revolver that is in .357..... and he will buy lunch for anyone who will shoot 5 shots thru it.... talk about a hand killer... it's pure severe pain to shoot that gun.

Did you let your wife try 148gr wad cutters instead of some carry ammo in the 38sp?? Big difference in the snap in the hand between wadcutters and defence ammo along with 3 or 400fps.

That is a sweet looking little revolver. I'm more drawn to the 38 special, but I have limited revolver experience. Can the 22 wmr be a capable SD round?

The .22 WMR will do the job. The main thing is that your wife carries it and shoots it on a regular basis in order to get good hits, which from what you said she does that. Are there better options, of course, but I don't think they are going to sit there and let her shoot at them just to see how good it is.

Amen to that, mine has the Ruger LCR 38 and the LCP. Now if I can get her to handle my new toy, Super Redhawk Alaskan in .44 Mag

I like it. Your wife is certainly correct about the 442 recoil. My wife carries the 442 and it does have a kick. Congratulations to your wife.
